Second Firing (Glaze Firing)

After the piece has been painted or glazed, it is placed in the kiln for the second firing. This gives it its final form, sets the colors, and makes it suitable for use according to the type of glaze applied.

Service Includes

• Firing one piece after glazing.
• Firing at temperature 04.
• Returning the piece in its final condition after firing is complete.

Notes

• The piece must be prepared for firing, with its base completely cleaned of glaze and any materials that could stick to the kiln shelves during firing.
• Each piece must have a clear mark or symbol underneath identifying its owner before it is delivered to the studio.
• The studio is not responsible for any piece without a clear identification mark or if its owner cannot be identified because the mark is missing or unclear.
• The final color or finish may vary due to the nature of the glaze and firing processes. Cracks or breakage may also occur for technical reasons or reasons related to the piece itself; this is not considered a service defect.

To ensure firing quality and accommodate kiln capacity, this service is limited to pieces no larger than approximately a 350 ml cup. We apologize, but larger pieces cannot be accepted.
